The salary package is awesome.
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Aug 2024
Pay within industry standard No bonuses
Graduate, Brisbane - 28 Aug 2024
Initial offer was lower than other competing companies. However early career, these differences are minor.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Aug 2024
It's not as competitive as it can be compared to what the other big engineering consulting firms are offering employees at the same level.
Graduate, Brisbane - 22 Aug 2024
We're not here for no reason. If it was determined that pay and bonuses were out of line for industry standards, then this would motivate for goal setting with my LM.
Graduate, Brisbane - 21 Aug 2024
Comparatively, WSP seems to have average or below average pay. However, there are good bonuses such as the employee share purchase programme. There are additional perks such as 'Team WHEREFIT' where employees are offered huge discounts on gym memberships and other commodities.

WSP consistently pays the absolute minimum they can pay, exemplified by the small pay increases you'll get which they have to say is due to changing regulations despite them saying its from explementary work.
Graduate, Brisbane - 16 Aug 2024
Okay. Been told progression is slow at the start before accelerating as you get senior.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Aug 2024
They could be more generous for those operating at the Junior level, particularly given how vital the work we do it.
Graduate, Sydney - 15 Aug 2024
Could be higher

Standard for the industry

I received my first pay rise a week ago, and considering my role I believe it's a sustainable income. It might be related to the fact I am graduating from the trainee title as of early October this year. I've been told I should be paid a little more than I'm currently receiving but currently I'm satisfied.
Graduate, Perth - 14 Aug 2024
I'm satisfied, as a graduate I understand that I'm still learning and have just completed my university degree so full-time pay is great. The bonuses are great too.
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
Working overtime with night shift will have extra pay for the team.
Graduate, Perth - 14 Aug 2024
Pay increase is the key driver for my career progression. I dont know how much others get paid, so I can not comment. I would support bonuses to reward hard working employees.
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
At my level this is what I expect my pay to be, and I know that there is a lot of opportunity to improve these with yearly performance reviews. I am unaware of any bonuses as this is only my first year.
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
To be honest it doesn't match with the inflation and the current pay of the recently hired graduates are earning more than us. This matter should be looked at.
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
I am not sure if I am on the right pay scale, but I hope that I am. I hope promotion comes with increase in pay.
Graduate, Melbourne - 14 Aug 2024
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Wouldn't mind any of the above
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Aug 2024
I really like how I can have free coffee and toasts in the pantry every day. Also, there are many company vehicles for going on sites.
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Aug 2024
Ability to purchase leave Corporate discount Share purchasing
Graduate, Brisbane - 28 Aug 2024
Free food for certain events in the office.
Graduate, Brisbane - 22 Aug 2024
Cheap gym memberships, random social events (such as WaterAid DJ Night), office building perks (free massages, free shoe polishes, free bike repair, etc. whenever the building offers), etc.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Aug 2024
WTF flexibility
Graduate, Sydney - 18 Aug 2024
WSP doesn't seem to have any standout perks. The closest thing that comes to mind is their support network for physical and mental health but that is very common practice nowadays. I have been through that support network before and like the pay, do the bare minimum to classify as a support network.
Graduate, Brisbane - 16 Aug 2024
Leave policies are good. Not sure on others/not good enough for me to notice.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Aug 2024
Free dinners, lunch, per diem, drinks
Graduate, Sydney - 15 Aug 2024
Free dinners, parties, work events
Graduate, Sydney - 15 Aug 2024
Nothing special that I am aware off as yet
Graduate, Sydney - 14 Aug 2024
The leave policies have been very useful when I've been unfit for work. Peace of mind for when I'm sick or need a mental health break.
Graduate, Perth - 14 Aug 2024
Within our group I enjoy that we can have lunches and dinners, movie/dinner gift cards, formal events. I also enjoy the overall company events and morning teas etc.
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
Free lunch and dinner, and sometimes free coffee.
Graduate, Perth - 14 Aug 2024
This is not something that I have particularly looked into
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
Discounted movie tickets, cab charges, food in the office from time to time
Graduate, Melbourne - 14 Aug 2024
Work flexibility
Graduate, Canberra - 14 Aug 2024
Every month, 3 people in the team get a $50 voucher that is nominated by fellow team members as an award. 1 person every 1.5 months gets a $150 voucher. These are just expense claims and can be used for dinners, ubers, movies etc. Every business group has different reward processes though.
Graduate, Sydney - 14 Aug 2024
Pretty average, leave depends on managers. It's nice to work from different states at different offices or from airbnbs. However, that is dependent on manager.
Graduate, Melbourne - 14 Aug 2024
