Excellent team culture. Lots of outside-of-work social events

A very strong team spirit with love and care.

Fun culture with drink every month supported by WSP. Great culture within teams and extracurricular activities
Graduate, Brisbane - 28 Aug 2024
Difficult to meet and socialise with other graduates in other teams. Flexible working from home or office makes it difficult to meet people on a regular basis.

Our team leader hires with cultural and gender diversity as well as technical excellence.

WSP offers a diverse and multi-cultural team across the company, allowing different ideas to come to fruition. Moreover, aside from work activities, there is a seperate team just for socializing and event planning which you get to be a part of. There are tons of events going on every week, so people have the option of attending whichever event they wish in order to have a fun time while also building professional network. The office space is very modern yet simplistic too, making it an ideal workplace.

The work culture outside of hours is average and quite awkward, the events come across as forced internal networking. I am lucky to have a team with a great culture however the grad cohort this year have felt quite unsettled recently following concerns regarding career pathways, earning a competitive graduate salary and the gender pay gap.

WSP has a strong culture of caring and supporting its workers. Any issues I've had have been resolved quickly.
Graduate, Brisbane - 16 Aug 2024
Teamwork, culture and cooperation is great. Social after hours is a bit non existent compared to what I've heard from friends at other firms.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Aug 2024
In the office - not very lively and somewhat murky. outside the office - and outside of my particular team, looks quite fun and friendly
Graduate, Sydney - 15 Aug 2024
Great teams, people, work events, office

People have been friendly, I think the hybrid work might make it a bit harder to communicate and work as a team at times as you don't always see people in person. Have had only a little bit of socialising after hours.
Graduate, Perth - 15 Aug 2024
Very flat. Generally high priority on training younger employees

People are able to meet each other easily within the office since they're large and offer space for meet ups, including the outside plaza. Colleagues will go out for drinks after work or grab lunch together. People from different disciplines are given opportunities to give their piece during meetings.

The culture is great, everyone is friendly and approachable when needed and it's nice to know when you are in the kitchen you can meet others and have small talk.
Graduate, Adelaide - 14 Aug 2024
Company- I have some meaningful relationships and support from people in the company. Team specific- The presence of challenging dynamics and lack of appreciation has created a work environment that feels unsupportive and is hindering my productivity and job satisfaction. I believe it’s important for a team to foster a culture of transparency, recognition, and mutual respect to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Currently the culture in my team is for mainly Indian culture, which gets some pressure for graduates.

Within my team there is a great culture. The team is quite close and there are after hours events that are organised every now and then. My team is quite large, but is separated into smaller teams based on engineering discipline and project. These smaller teams work closely together, but there is lots of work between these groups as many of our projects are inter-disciplinary.

Most of the intermediate, senior engineers and above are my role models. When I ask them things, they make sure to respond in brief and concise manner. We can do an improvement in socialising outside of work but work wise, all are very professional.
