The graduate program has been amazing, so far I am halfway through the program but have loved the opportunity to travel and learn more about the business and make friends with other grads within the company.
There is a lot to learn, especially at the beginning. Once you start to find your footing, you begin to appreciate how everything works and how it’s all interconnected.
Enjoy university, you don’t always have to take it too seriously – have fun! Find the right balance between learning and enjoying yourself as you may work with a lot of these people you socialise with in the future.
Do more research into what roles or career paths you would be interested in, put out some time to do extra study on courses related to that specific role, there are lots on Udemy, and LinkedIn learning has learning paths which is pretty useful.
My role is very demanding when it comes to being disciplined and organized. When managing projects that engage with a lot of different stakeholders, you need to be confident in yourself to execute what needs to be done and prepared to be put out of your comfort zone
The coolest thing about this job is that we get to design and supply a huge variety of different irrigation and water infrastructure systems which solve current or future issues that our Clients may encounter.
The ability to have a corporate job, in a regional setting, in the ag industry is priceless. You don’t have to relocate to a major city to start your career in finance or insurance, Nutrien has these opportunities in almost every town in Australia.
