Sustainability at Westpac Group

Our buildings are already using renewable electricity, have a huge focus on creating more sustainable banking products, helping big companies transition to 0

The buildings are quite sustainable, and there are moves for the bank to make more sustainable investments and help the companies we service to be more sustainable

Have not seen as many policies here and some recent deals have not appeared to be following these values as much.

Recently, an initiative with the local coffee shops to introduce reusable cups that you can return in the office - has stopped 30,000 single use cups going to landfill so far. they are thinking of trying this with takeaway containers.

Unsure on the companies exact efforts.

I would say we are in line with most of the big 4 banks and as a sector it is not an easy task to achieve the targets set both internally and externally. huge amounts of work and resources have been allocated to achieving these goals and it is great to see the work being delivered.

divesting from fossil fuels, recycling awareness on site, renewable energy for sites (e.g. solar panels).

Recycling program, digitalisation in all areas, investment into environmental initiatives and wider impact of banking.

Haven't heard of much

There have been some communications around this, but amongst other comms I have seen less on reducing their environment footprint.

Unsure, green financing

There is a company wide effort to promote recycling, efficient energy use and net zero.

Definitely corporate initiatives out there however not much filtered down
