I feel managers/recruiters in Western Power look more than just technical skills. They acknowledge the unique strengths of the individual and works towards collaboration.

The interview process is friendly and straightforward. Interviewers typically ask questions based on the resume you provide, allowing candidates to discuss their experiences and qualifications in detail.

The interview process at Western Power typically begins with a video screening, where candidates are assessed based on their initial responses and qualifications. This is followed by an in-person interview, which provides a more in-depth evaluation.

online personality test videos->submit personal youtube video(A rare choice?) --> typical in person interview 1:2 ----------> background checks > offer.
There was some quiet moments... after the interview -> 3.5 months -> sudden background check and offer to start within 3 weeks. A bit of a surprise.
Also had to submit a paid police check without knowing the process fully (is a successful background check leading to an offer?) makes sense now but I was a bit worried.

Applied through the Western Power website.
After application had progressed I was told to submit a short video introducing myself.
After this I was offered a formal, in-person interview at the head office.
Was asked to provide a National Police Check Certificate (At my own expense).
Was asked to complete a pre-employment medical.
Was notified of successful application.

There are two interviews for people joining externally:
1) It is more general based on the experience and background.
2) the second one is more technical based on the panel
The rest of the process is HR related background checks.

I think is it the typical recruitment process even though I applied for a position in the graduate program. After filling in the application form for the graduate program, there is a formal phone call canvassing process followed by two interviews.
