How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
On paper, 8:30am - 5pm. Practically, this can vary widely. Some teams are more willing to accommodate other commitments - for example, leaving early one day and working extra at another time to make it up. The general expectation is that you're available between 9-5.

Currently I work from approx 830am - 6pm. When the team is not particularly busy it is acceptable for your hours to reflect this. However, during a busy period, it is expected that your hours increase to ensure our clients are serviced.

The legal profession overall has a high standard of working hours. As a graduate, generally my hours have been 9am - 6:30pm which has been manageable. The company is quite flexible with hours, understanding that different people have different routines.

I've found the hours to be quite good. I had one late night when a deal was closing, but otherwise I'm gone before 6 usually and my team have always been proactive about making sure I'm not staying late. The firm takes LSA very seriously.

The company culture expects people to work long hours and you can be viewed negatively if you aren’t willing to give up lots of your time outside of hours to work.

Hours are very team dependent. My current team has manageable hours but previous teams were quite challenging with long hours, especially due to unexpected new work/deadlines.

My team is very good about hours. I tend to work 8:30am to 6:00pm. I do not work on weekends. I am able to communicate my capacity so that I do not have to work long ours.

As a grad, I have been very well supported in terms of the hours I am working. The seniors in my team have constantly checked in and encouraged me to leave work at the end of the day.

Very flexible. No issue at all. Very accommodating.

I have sometimes had to work late but if I don't have any work to be doing then I leave at 5.

My hours are not too bad, but I can see my senior's hours are. I tend to work 8:30am - 6:30pm. The company is very flexible with earlier or later start times, and working from home.

Work hours are good (though I know team dependent and they are much worse elsewhere). My team does not expect me to be there if there is no work to be done. Work life balance is good and team members don't work weekends and generally have young families.

Not flexible. No conversation has occurred with the graduates regarding working from home, even when the rest of the team is not present. Also expected to work long hours regularly and stay back. Also extremely strict on time recording non billables.
