All diversity groups are respected at CommBank, with events held to celebrate some (e.g. multicultural and multifaith holidays). Leave and other benefits is afforded to all those who need, with no discrimination on basis of race, sex or gender.

Throughout the entire process of recruitment and in the office, diversity is very important to CBA. There are many events in the calendar tailored to various diverse holidays and activities.

My last manager made comments about how the men shouldnt take as much paternity leave because they are men, and questioned them asking what the team would think if they took that much time off. he would make this comment to multiple of the expecting parents. This is just one person though, ive noticed everyone else being very respectful to one another.

I'm a huge promoter in this area and I'm satisfied with the steps CBA is taking.

Associate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
Pretty good with maternity leave and stuff and supporting women through that phase. Also a pretty good indigenous support system.

It's hard to comment on diversity with respect to minority groups I'm not a part of (LGBT/ethnic minorities), however I will say that it is that the company diveristy is the largest out of any I've worked before. They have a generous maternity leave package and childcare facilities at the Sydney office but would be nice if these perks were extended to other offices in Australia.

I do believe CBA is almost on par (if not already is on par) with the gender ratio. I have found a wide variety of people from varying ethnic backgrounds at the bank.

There is a lot of work done for diversity in women in leadership. The personal information is also voluntary so we don't have the full picture. There was a lot of comms being sent out to support LGBT+ community last week and activation areas however there could be more work done for LGBT+ and ethnic minorities in leadership.
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Aug 2023
Around 30-40% women in my area but seem to be working toward more diversity. Many teams based in India.
