Carbon neutral

A sustainability report is produced every year which outlines the impact we have had on the environment and goals that the company is working on to achieve sustainability targets. The company has achieved good efforts in minimizing environmental impact including solar panels on store roofs and in two states, swapping plastic fruit bags to compostable ones.

Effort it there

In my projects, when I have governing reviews sustainability is part of the metrics we have to adhere to.

I don't know too much, but I do know there have been efforts to scale back embellishments on wine packaging and favour use of brown cardboard over bleached cardboard to reduce our footprint.

Sustainable sourcing policies for all own brand product emissions reduction goals and commitments. Waste reduction goals and targets

Coles supports the goals of the paris agreement and there is a huge focus on reducing our own operational emissions and working with our supply chain to lower their emissions. Reducing food and packaging waste is also a big focus.

Can't comment too much as sustainability is its own team but from what I see in internal and external comms coles does make efforts to be more sustainable

On top of people's mind. Many actions/initiatives around sustainability.

In my area we do not focus much on this but what is shared with the business seems to be moving in the right direction

I don't really hear anything about coles actively trying to reduce their impact on the environment, but I just may not be hearing much the sustainability front. Just doesn't feel like its been anything significant.

Very high, we're always looking for innovative ways to minimize our environmental impacts.

Reducing single use plastics, creating carbon neutral products, using sustainable packaging etc.
