Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Good culture- great place to network. Great activities and free giveaways for staff

In office, my line managers and team are generally understanding, and prioritise people's well being. Collaboration is highly encouraged. Mistakes are addressed and used as a learning opportunity. Teams make an effort to coordinate team activities such as team lunch.

Like my previous comments mentioned, the problem here is how drastically this varies. Because the company is so large, there are pockets of extremely good, pockets of extremely bad, and everything in between. This is why I'm very on the fence about it, as I have personally had mostly very good experiences, but have also been witness to very poor experiences.

In the teams I've been in, it's been relatively flexible. However due to capacity it can be hard pressed to have enough time. Due to my current project, I've been having late meetings, but we are all supportive of life going on outside of work.

Coles has a wonderful and inclusive culture inside the workplace, and I can see efforts being made to continue this outside of the workplace

The culture in our office is great. Coles places a big emphasis on being able to access people who are higher up and so they are literally a shoulder tap away if you want to speak to them. As a graduate, I never work alone. There is always someone delegating tasks to me and checking what I have done and so cooperation and teamwork is important. Within work hours, we socialise by having lunch together and going to conferences together. Depending on the team, there is also opportunties to socialise outside of work hours (eg. The team was invited to a bbq at my manager's place).

Lots of different opportunities to socialise both in formal and non-formal settings.

Culture is mostly good - big emphasis from executive leadership to take learning and development opportunities when they arise. I would love to see managers act this way as well. Additionally, it would be nice to see managers reach out and check up on work completion and offer support more frequently.

The company is flexible and lenient, thus, really embedding the real execution of "work life balance". Most staff here are progressive thinker.

Everyone is very supportive and willing to help teach the grads. Generally a great social environment and very cross-collaborative between teams to get a task/project done.

There is no expectation to work after hours.

When I take charge of my learnings and engage others to learn, everyone treats me with respect and open-mindedness.

People are friendly and approachable, and really work together to support each other. Hierarchy is there but it doesn't limit people from getting to know each other. Sometimes there will be team lunches/dinners/drinks :)

Everyone is really friendly and happy to help out each other. People are happy to network and catch up. Manager are very supportive about career development. No one set up meetings outside of work hours.

Everyone is willing to catch up with you to explain their role, or to introduce you to the team. Grads meet outside work hours for catchups.

Culture is very team specific; it is dependent on the function and team you are in. Teamwork and connection is encouraged, and in most teams, there is opportunity to socialise and get to know the team.

Flexible. Things move very slow and then very quickly. Can be expected to drop everything on a whim. Generally respectful of time after work for grads, less so for those not on the program.

Minimal culture in the office because there is a lot of wfh. When in the office though, activations in the hub bring people together. Gms are often really approachable

Most people work hybrid, usually 2-3 days in the office. There is a very good vibe tuesday to thursday with lots of people in and a lot happening in the office like product giveaways or morning teas. There are plenty of chances to socialise especially with the other grads outside of the office. In my role I get exposure to senior leaders and work closely with the rest of the team.

Many social opportunities and ability to connect with others.
