Your role

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, this position is part of a close-knit team that delivers the full range of People and Culture initiatives, programs, and services in line with the organisational objectives. This position presents the unique opportunity to develop and grow knowledge and skills in aged care and local government, working with state-based legislation.

In the role you will:

  • Be presented with an opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of P&C 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of P&C policies
  • Support employee relations and engagement initiatives
  • Recruitment, screening, selection, and induction
  • Manage advertisements, reference checks, police checks, pre-employment requirements and other relevant offer processes as required.
  • Performance management and IR matters
  • Assist with coordinating learning and development activities 
  • Complete reporting and compliance management activities 
  • Support with workforce planning
  • Reporting and compliance as required

About you

Qualifications:

An amazing opportunity for a People and Culture Graduate to join a progressive aged care facility. Experience in the industry is not necessary for this role, they are looking for someone with ambition, initiative and a can-do attitude. You will have exceptional communication skills, excellent time management and organisation and an ability to work at a fast pace in a challenging environment. 

Essential criteria include:

  • Completed or near-completed tertiary studies in Human Resources is required
  • A desire to progress your P&C career 
  • You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment
