Working Hours at AECOM

8.4
8.4 rating for Working Hours, based on 170 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Very flexible when it comes to hours, essentially just ensuring that 40 hours are complete in a week. As a grad, this gives some flexibility to start a bit earlier/later to accommodate for activities external to work. Only part that knocks the score down is preference to 100% attendance for grads, despite the rest of the team not having 100% attendance.

The business is extremely flexible with work hours, working from home, taking leave when needed etc - I think this is one of the best things about working at AECOM. However, it does mean that some people hardly come into the office at all which isn't great for team morale and project work.

Company is super flexible. I prefer to start early with the intention of leaving early however sometimes you can get caught up and not leave early.

Flexible working arrangements are a great benefit to working at AECOM. There is a trust that the work will get the work done, and does not necessary get done in between the hours of 9-5.

Everyone is expected to work a standard 40 hour week, which suits me perfectly. If needed, I am more than happy to stay behind to assist in getting work completed in the lead up to a deadline.

I work 40 hours a week from the office not because I can't be flexible but because I like to have clear boundaries between work and home. I learn more being in the office being able to connect with those I wouldn't talk to working from home. When various appointments come up, I have the flexibility to go when needed and work around them.

The area I work in at Aecom are very flexible. I don't think that companies should be expecting their staff to work more than the accepted standard 38 hours a week in Australia without appropriate compensation.
Graduate, Brisbane - 12 Aug 2024
The company is very flexible, as long as you work the right amount of hours, the time you come in and the time you leave aren't particularly important.

Very flexible with work hours, however I would like to have the opportunity to do more fieldwork.

You are expected to complete 40 hours a week, there is flexibility in regard to when you complete these hours (varying start and finish times etc.).

Flexible hours. Start and finish whenever you want. But mostly people come in around 9 and leave around 5. Also flexible with time off in lieu if you have worked overtime.
