Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
Lots of events celebrating diversity. all those issues are addressed in some form.

Pretty diverse generally. Probably one of the most diverse places to work in 2024, but still has a long way to go. Leadership could be much more diverse (still quite skewed), more balanced teams (still male dominated), more support to First Nations professionals required, pay gap etc. Retention seems to be an issue industry wide at the moment but is more noticeable in young professionals across the business now than it was 12 months ago (I think more seniors were moving around a lot then). Paternity leave seems quite good on surface when compared to other companies in the industry (not something I have looked into in detail)

I can only really comment on the gender equity inclusion and the company is very transparent with employment statistics (both overall and in leadership) and appears to be working toward a better balance. Outwardly at least they seem to be committed to celebrating and including ethnic minorities and the LGBTIQA+ community but I don't have personal experience with the processes.

The company has outstanding policies and awareness of diversity, with a 0-tolerance policy to any form of discrimination, as well as a lot of internal yearly training to ensure staff are aware of what different forms of discrimination can look like. From what I hear, there is also excellent maternity and paternity leave for new parents.

I believe AECOM does a good job to create an environment where everyone feels included and comfortable.

Seems to place a high importance on diversity and is committed through the hiring process but this can always be strengthened
Graduate, Melbourne - 19 Aug 2024
There is mandatory training for ED&I. There are also less formal acknowledgments of diversity that lead to a generally inclusive environment.

I see a lot of faces from ever walk of life

I think they have a lot of initiatives. Maternity leave could be extended
Graduate, Perth - 30 Jul 2024
Globally, AECOM holds seminars on diversity and inclusion on an annual basis.
Graduate, Cairns - 30 Jul 2024
The company shows initiative and respects different backgrounds and communities. As a graduate, I've seen equality on my level to all genders and the LGBT+ community and haven't seen issues as such. However, the culture is not really inclusive of people of color, especially international students (or those with less significant Australian backgrounds).

The hiring process is quite inclusive with consideration towards women and diverse communities.

Pretty good very openly welcomely to anyone and everyone. Leave is pretty considerable for mental health and paternity for both parents.

Very diverse.
Graduate, Perth - 30 Jul 2024
Mostly surface level corporate promotion with no real changes
Graduate, Newcastle - 30 Jul 2024
Women are rock at AECOM! so many women in key positions. Also, LGBTIQA+ community members and people from different backgrounds. Maternity leave is 3 months paid leave.
Graduate, Perth - 24 Jul 2024
AECOM has shown great commitment to diversity and inclusion. Almost half of the graduate cohort are women. The AECOM leadership is fairly ethnically diverse. There is a great first nations presence at AECOM. Not sure if this is a diversity issue but there is a low graduate retention rate after the transition from graduate to professional engineer. About half of the graduate cohort leave the company after 2-4 years at AECOM.
